Heritage & Home

One of the things that can take graphic design from good to great is collaboration with the client. Rachel from Heritage & Home offered great input every step of the way, leading to a great collaboration and an even better final result.

Heritage & Home means “the interweaving of our stories, the fabric of our life that make us who we are”. The owner’s goal is to design a home around her client’s stories with nods to their history but adding modernity and luxurious touches.

The brand description that Rachel kept coming back to was to lead with luxury but have touches of wild ruggedness.

The intersection in the logo within the HH is meant to play on the idea of the intersection of the past and present and the client’s description of the “tapestry of our lives.”

Another personal touch Rachel wanted to include in the logo was the flower of home state of California. This lead to incorporating delicate illustrations of poppies which helped to bring a touch of rugged, wildness to the otherwise very refined brand.
